Iceland - Wick - Lanark
16:25, 07 August 2007
Weather was much more favourable to us and we managed with the help of a 25knot tailwind to make the crossing from Iceland's east coast to Wick on Scotland's north coast in one go, some 500miles.
After a quick fuel up and bit of sustenance we decided to crack on and head to Lanark weather permitting. Unfortunately we had to set down beside a Christian Monastery in Pitlochry, Perthshire for the evening to avoid some seriously low cloud and terrible rain.....welcome back to Scotland we thought.
Early next morning the cloud had lifted and so did we on to Lanark
Home safe and sound, what a wonderful trip and amazing experience, hope you've all enjoyed the updates and pictures, hopefully we'll get some more of them loaded up soon
Regards
