Summary

11:40, 08 August 2007

We covered 6,842 miles (including 1,516 miles of sea), we flew for 73 hours, we landed 47 times, we crossed 7 countries/territories and 7 time zones, we used 1,314 US gallons of fuel, Glenn fished in 6 rivers in 5 countries (and only caught 3 fish in total), we saw polar bears, deer, moose, muskus ox, arctic fox and wolves (which may have been huskies) and crossed the largest glacial country (Greenland) in the northern hemisphere.

The purpose of the trip was:

1)      To raise £100,000 for our 4 charities

2)      To become really competent pilots

The second objective has most certainly been fulfilled.  The first is close, we will reach £80,000 shortly but we need a boost to achieve the £100,000 we set out for.  The fundraising will stay open until 31st August - please give us more if you can or pay the amount you had pledged.

Our Welcome Home Party and handing over the cheques is scheduled for Saturday, 1st September - more details will follow shortly.

Regards
